Kristen Kreuk

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li .At first the name of the movie doesn't sounds interesting to me,until I watched the movie. I was so impressed with the movie and I find it AWESOME especially the action part! I definitely love the actress, Kristen Kreuk.Who doesnt know her? She is well-known for her role on American series,Smallville.

Movie details: As the Street Fighter saga celebrates its 20th anniversary, fight fans are invited to follow along with fearsome fighter Chun-Li (Smallville's Kristin Kreuk) as she faces off against a series of formidable opponents in this feature adaptation of the popular video-game franchise directed by Exit Wounds'... Andrzej Bartkowiak. Previously adapted for the screen in the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme film, the series continues to thrive as eager gamers across the globe go toe-to-toe to determine who is the most skilled and powerful warrior in the video-game universe. Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein, Rick Yune, and Neal McDonough co-star in the 20th Century Fox production. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Rated: PG-13 for sequences of violence and martial arts action, and some sensuality. (i wouldnt recommend children to watch the movie as it contains violence actions)

How about you?Your opinion might differ from me.What do you think of the movie?

( leave comments in this post)Thanks ;)

Watch the trailer now!

I attended the SOAS Memorial Lecture at ICC today. ( Lucky me,I got the ticket last minute yesterday) and I sit 6 rows from the front.( baik jua nda duduk di belakang). The lecture was made by Lee Kuan Yew and it's quite interisting though. Some of the points that he mentioned is his memories with SOAS and just after he started giving his lecture,I started to recall my history classes back in 2005, as History is one of my best subjects and we used to study about History of Brunei and Singapore. Now,I think I miss to have history class :S

In the afternoon,I had few rounds of jogging at the UBD track ;) and thanks to Kama for giving me some tips and advises for the fitness part.Seriously,I need to lose weight. That's what I've been planning to do and now im still trying.Hopefully it will work out =D

Brunei Tourism In No-Win Situation Over ‘Won’
By Azlan Othman

Bandar Seri Begawan – The economic crisis and the weakening Korean won are forcing many South Koreans to give up their holiday plans overseas including Brunei.A local tourism expert told the Bulletin that the Korean market is very seasonal and they go from one destination to another.

"The Sultanate as a destination peaks for golfing holiday. Yes, people are affected by the economic crisis and countries that go for mass tourism feel the impact more. The tourists have to forgo the holiday to make their ends meet.

"However, the target market for Brunei may not affect much. Tourists may opt to go for short haul destinations instead and Brunei is one of those in the list of short haul destinations.

"But Brunei is still participating in the Korean Travel Fair. There is still a need for our presence to be felt. Tourism is not a one-day or a one-week event.

"We can't stop promoting the Sultanate during these hard times. Creating awareness for Koreans and making our presence felt at this time is crucial," he added.

In January last year, 1,000 won was worth about B$1.50. But as of yesterday, 1,000 won had weakened to about B$1.

Latest figures showed that in November last year, Koreans spending on overseas travel and education fell by the most in a decade because of the weakening currency and the slump in the economy.

And the future remains uncertain.

The Korean central bank predicts the annual economic growth will slow to an 11-year low of two per cent this year.

Meanwhile, a souvenir shop that caters for Korean tourists told the Bulletin that the number of visitors reached its peak in April last year when some 4,000 Koreans visited Brunei as part of their incentive trip.

"We used to receive some 15 Korean tourists in a day and hundreds of tourists in a month during the good times. But now it's not that much." -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

Sunday trip to Labuan

Monday, February 23, 2009

Joe (my cousin) is going to Labuan as well? Yeah,he's currently having short vacation in Labuan.(we tried to make funny faces in the photo above) lol

ready to go home?

One day Labuan trip was tiring and exausting but it was really interesting. We went to Labuan, not for a vacation but for a friendly match between UBD Sharks Rugby Football team and the Labuan national teams (both U18 and U20).Im not really a a fan of sports but I like to watch Rugby matches and I never want to miss any friendly matches especially the UBD Sharks.

That was my third time going to Labuan and the last time I was in Labuan was when I was just a little girl (when I was 10,i guess).First when we arrived at the terminal,I was so excited to see Labuan and its surrondings but when I noticed a scared-looking staring eyes(outside the terminal),it makes me felt uneasy.

Soon after we walked to go to the bus station and we went to the match field (im not sure what's the name of the place) by bus and the Sharks were having their double match with the Labuan national teams.

The first match was between UBD Sharks and the under 18 Labuan national team. The score was 12 points (U18 Labuan national team)-0 (UBD Sharks)and after the exhausting match, the UBD Sharks was having another match with the under 20 Labuan national team( combine with the USM team) and the Labuan national team scored the 7 points and UBD Sharks gained no points. However the UBD Sharks are getting stronger and have made some improvements. (and I am really proud of it ;D )

The resignation of the old AJKT's and AJK and the appointment of the new members of the heritage club took place yesterday. There was the amalgamation between the members of the heritage club and the new members mostly came mostly from APB faculty.Since heritage is part of history,so it would be better handle by the students taking history or under the APB faculty. Unlike the previous club members mostly came from other faculties such as FBEPS,FOS,SHBIE and FASS. I do hope that they would make good changes and be much more better than us in managing the club. Welcome, new members..Consdering the fact that Im quite busy with my other commitments,I would stay in the club as a member only (I used to be the secretary of the club).

Another event in UBD, the AGM, Farewell, Welcoming Gatherings
took place at FBEPS Courtyard and the event started at 2.00pm and arrived a bit late since I had to attend Heritage club meeting. The most intersitinf part for me is the the fun games, won some cash and easi card and the ballons :P lol!!

Around 4.30pm, I attended the rugby training and took some pictures of the Rugby players and probably Im going to watch the
match between the rugby team in Labuan and the UBD Sharks this sunday and we are going to LABUAN!yay!

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

Last Sunday fun walk was fun.I should have do lots of walk from now on because I think walking is a perfect alternative for people who are just lazy to work out, just like me. =P for the first time since last year I was jogging yesterday at the UBD sports complex together with my sister and some of the UBD Sharks Rugby players. It was a good start tough. After the fundwalk,we went to ICC for the RTB Carnival

and

Since tourism has been one of my interests,I went to the KNK booth ask some questions especially about the KNK passport and' the 10 must do packages for 2009' and I was thinking to have vacation in Temburong.
